Ultrasonic spatula has two basic applications in cosmetics, namely ultrasonic skin peeling and importing active ingredients from cosmetics into the skin.

This procedure is known as iontophoresis and works on the principle of mild electricity (negatively charged ions help to ingest active ingredients).
